Ruth Whelan

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MSc (Sports Physiotherapy), Stott Pilates Instructor, Lic Ac MISCP

Ruth Whelan is the Allied Therapy Manager in UPMC Beacon Hospital. She graduated from University College Dublin with an honours degree in 2000 and also received a first class Masters in Sports Physiotherapy from University College Dublin in 2005. Ruth worked for six years in St. Vincent’s University Hospital. During this time, she was Senior in both Musculoskeletal Outpatients and in clinical education and also lectured in Orthopaedics on the undergraduate programme for University College Dublin.

In 2007, Ruth successfully completed the Stott Pilates Instructors course and more recently in 2008 obtained further professional qualification in acupuncture. Ruth enjoys leading a dynamic team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.
