Mr Eamonn P Kelly

Eamonn Kelly qualified in the Royal College of Surgeons. He did his basic surgical and higher orthopaedic training in Ireland before going to the UK to gain a Masters of Orthopaedic Science at the University of Liverpool. He then worked as fellow with Professor JK Stanley at The Upper Limb Surgery Unit of Wrightington Hospital.

He subsequently moved to the Institute de la Main in Paris France and then to The Pulvertaft Hand Surgery Unit in Derby, England. He was appointed to the orthopaedic staff of St Vincent’s University Hospital on returning to Ireland in 1990. He has worked as the upper limb surgeon in St Vincent’s Hospital since then, with attachment to Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital and St Columcille’s Hospital. Mr Kelly’s practice includes all aspects of orthopaedic upper limb surgery including rheumatoid hand surgery, chronic wrist pain, joint replacement of elbow and shoulder.

He has a particular interest in arthroscopic shoulder surgery for both degenerative conditions and sports injuries of the shoulder.
